Junior Volunteer Program 2007
(Adult Volunteers Welcome Too!)

Helping Hands for Little Paws is a non-profit organization started in 1996. We are a foster-care-based program and completely staffed by volunteers!
One of our main goals is to improve living conditions for the animals housed at the Little Rock Animal Shelter. Also, we work diligently to increase their chances of being adopted instead of being euthanized. Rescued animals are examined by veterinarians, given shots and sterilized. Then the animals live in a foster home until a permanent home with a responsible pet owner can be found for them.
Each Sunday for the past five years, our foster parents have brought their foster pets to Petsmart on Chenal Parkway to be displayed and hopefully adopted. We also post animals on our web site.
In the year 2006 alone, Helping Hands for Little Paws has aided in the placement of over 400 animals. One of our goals for the year 2007 is to exceed last year's placement number.
Other goals for this year include public education and increased efforts to help feral cats the central Arkansas area.
