This page is dedicated to those pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge ...
In Memory of Nora A generous donation was made in Memory of Nora, a 15-year-old Miniature Pinscher who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on November 13, 2006. "In our hearts forever ... Mom & Dad"
To my forever friend, Gizmo Sue I remember Dad bringing you home. You were so small and cuddly with your tiny paws and soft fur. You bounced around the room with eyes flashing and ears flopping. Once in a while you'd let out a little yelp, just to let me know this was your territory. Making a mess of the house and chewing on everything in sight became a passion and when I scolded you, you just put your head down and looked up at me with those innocent eyes, as if to say, "I'm sorry but I'll do it again as soon as you're not watching." As you got older you protected me by looking out the window and barking at everyone who walked by. When I had a tough day at work, you would be waiting for me with your tail wagging just to say, "Welcome home. I missed you." You never had a bad day, and I could always count on you to be there for me. When I sat down to read a book and watch TV you would get on my lap, looking for attention. You never asked for anything more than to have me pat your head so you could go to sleep with your head over my leg. As you got older, you moved around more slowly. Then, one day, old age finally took its toll, and you could barely stand on those wobbly legs anymore. I knelt down and patted you lying there trying to make you young again. You just looked at me as if to say you were old and tired and that after all these years of not asking for anything, you had to ask me for one last favor. With tears in my eyes, I drove you one last time to the vet. One last time, you were lying next to me. For some strange reason, you were able to stand up in the animal hospital; perhaps it was your sense of pride. As the vet gave you medicine to stop your pain, for an instant you looked at me as if to say, "Thank you for taking care of me." I thought to myself, "No. Thank you for taking care of me." In Memory of Phoebe ... A Rescue Dog
I adopted Precious Phoebe from Helping Hands for Little Paws almost 3 years ago. She was a wonderful companion for both me and my other little furbaby, Sassy. We had to give her up on Memorial Day. She was the sweetest most loving little dog anyone could ever wish for...she will be missed. Weep

In Memory of A Rescue ... Rusty
In Memory of Garibaldi
In memory of Garibaldi, adopted as an elderly adult, February 13, 1998, who died due to cancer April 26, 2003. Garibaldi was adopted in Somerville, Massachusetts. He had already been abandoned twice (he still wore the tags from his previous shelter home, the Humane Society in Brewster, MA, on Cape Cod, a good 2-3 hour drive from Somerville.) He was shy, scared and only wanted a good home. He brought so many days of joy to my life and he will be greatly missed.

Memory of Pooh Our lovely cat, Pooh, went to Rainbow Bridge last night. She had heart problems since she was 3 months old. We called her our Golden Kitty. We had a chance to take care of her for just over a year. She lived in this world for only 15 months. Our hearts are broken. Pooh came into this world abandoned in a factory in Conway and she had a congenital heart defect. She and her siblings were bottle fed by Lynda Fair and her daughters. Linda called her a purr bucket because she was always purring. Her immune system was compromised by her heart condition so she was very susceptible to EVERYTHING!! She was so full of love and had the most beautiful HUGE slanted gold eyes. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge one year and 5 days after we got her from Lynda (July 5th). She was the essence of bravery, having to take 4 pills a day and often feeling badly because of congestive heart failure. She is gone from this Earth, but lives forever in our hearts. Barbara & Ali
